June 20, 2011 - Despite all the notes about being over-oaked, I didn't find this wine to be too oaky (and I don't like oaky Chards). I smelled and tasted a bit of smoke...but it was not over the top. Very enjoyable, medium bodied Chardonnay.

January 2, 2011 - The color in this wine is quite striking, a strong straw color. The oak in this wine overpowers the fruit to some degree on the nose, but is balanced by its acidity - which will definitely help it ability to age in the long run.
