July 9, 2023 - Definitely has improved since the last time I tried this. Nothing specific jumped out in the notes, just that it was over all a very pleasing wine to drink. I initially thought this wine would be "done" by now, but I am revising and thing it will go another 3 to 5 years.

October 4, 2022 - I bought this bottle at the property in St.Cristoly, Médoc in 2010 for almost no money. Lovely mature Bordeaux that's taste like a classified growth. What a bargain!

October 21, 2018 - Lots of life left. Very nice, especially as the price I bought it for. I still prefer the Cuvee 1850 (100% merlot), but this is no slouch.

September 29, 2017 - Took an hour + to open and start to blossom so who ever is next - DECANT! After that a nice Cru Bordeaux with dark fruits, mature tannins, nice mouth feel, decent finish.

Thank you Eddie, America's first Master Sommelier.

December 23, 2014 - Dark ruby color with aromas of forest floor, black currant, mushroom, and leather. The palate is pleasingly earthy with mushroom, wet soil, bitter chocolate, mocha, blackberry, cherry, licorice, and black pepper. The low/medium acidity and medium tannins give it a firm structure and it finishes very nicely leaving licorice and mocha behind. Excellent QPR with a lot more longevity left in it.
