October 11, 2018 - A lean, burgundian style wine, still in good drinkable condition with tart cherry, plum skin and a touch of earthiness. Good but not excellent. Drink now.

February 26, 2018 - Beautiful. Consistent with previous note. Dust, earth on the nose. Very muted fruit in the mouth with secondary flavours dominating. I am not seeing this develop much more, but will maybe hold for a couple of years more.

November 23, 2017 - Just past its peak, but a fine bottle nonetheless. The color, transparent as always with McHenry, now tinged with garnet, signaling a nose and then flavors in which the fruit has begun to recede (ever so gently), and the earth notes have moved to the fore.

Time to drink up whatever is remaining.
    Rated 1 on a scale of -1 to 3.

January 29, 2017 - Delicious. The effect of time has gently transformed the wine into a more mature version of the traits that made it so appealing in its youth: transparency and lightness are still very much present - the color now slightly garnet tinged, but remarkably light, astonishingly clear. The nose now projects more sous bois, more notes of cinnamon, autumn leaves, tart and ripe cherry, a haunting perfume and taste which ends with a strong ferrous note, citric and tart, and a long lasting finish.

    Rated 2 on a scale of -1 to 3.

Based on this bottle, I believe that the wine will continue in a strong drinking window through 2017, possibly well into 2018.

June 3, 2015 - Wonderful, aging beautifully, structure and taste very Burgundian... to be continued
