January 24, 2013 - In Vino Veritas Session 2 (MIT): Not the best wine of the evening but possibly my favorite. A little funky on the nose, slightly vegetal - almost like Im smelling the vine. In contrast to the claims of this being past it, I actually think this needs a little more time. This is a Goldilocks wine for me - everything is juuuust right. Perfectly ripe - not overripe - fruit, potential for improvement, lots of ripe raspberry and cranberry but something deeper, too. Not too alcoholic either, and a pretty fair price in my book - 12%, $26.

    October 22, 2012 - A lovely nose, fairly complex.
A great semi-serious wine, easy to drink.

June 29, 2012 - Some peculiar minerally aromas on the nose. On the palate light bodied, soft and smooth ,hints of paprika, liquorice and some dark fruit. Rather short finish. It gained a little more structure and body with some airtime in the glass. Good basic Cabernet Franc.

February 13, 2012 - Soft strawberries and cedar on the nose, palate lacks some depth, with notes of redcurrants and slightly underripe red fruits. The acidity is right and refreshing, and the finish is short. A decent midweeker to have with a pizza or some pasta perhaps?

    August 7, 2011 - Translucent ruby red.
Starts out rather lifted with ripe plummy fruit, milk chocolate and a load of manour on the nose. Some liquorice, graphite and peach stone.
Light to medium bodied palate with refreshing acidity, tannic astringency and stewed redcurrant and maraschino fruit. Notes of pronounced animality, applecore, tea leaves, mint, cedar, decaying vegetals, violets and liquorice. So, quite a bunch of good stuff here. Mid-length finish.
Way more integrated and balanced on the second day. Especially the mid-palate needed to fill in. Overall this is pretty nice actually, though it seemed a bit too murky and clumsy upon opening.
