March 12, 2021 - Last bottle and what a beauty. Delicious, fulsome.
Aromas are a little shy …. some tar, violets, licorice, incense and red berry fruit.
Flavours show red berry fruit, dried berries, tar and tea on a tasty slightly bitter finish. Licorice, old leather as well. Dusty to chalky feeling tannins, still very drying feeling. Medium length finish. Smooth and balanced. Absolutely delicious.
Cork crumbled on removal. 2 hour aeration and decant to remove cork bits.

February 9, 2018 - In an excellent place right now. Delicious, smooth, long finish, dusty tannins, dried red and dark berries. Some old leather, tar and black tea as well.
Tar, florals, dark berries on the aroma.

September 4, 2014 - Chicago Italian Lovers round 12- 04 Nebbiolo Blind (Domaine Wine Storage, Chicago IL): Nose: The nose was just flowing from the get go with roasted herbs, red cherries, menthol notes, dark red berries, roses, tar, and a touch of wildflowers. There is excellent depth already with a very attractive savory side to it too.

Taste: Medium/Full bodied with medium/high acidity and silky tannins. The structure is youthful with the tannins being on the sweeter side, but it isn't overwhelming. Beneath the structure lie roasted herbs, menthol, dark red berries, red cherries, roses, and some wild flowers on the back end.

Overall: This showed beautifully. There is a very savory side and the modern oak didn't come off as readily appearant versus the other modern producers in the tasting. While this can definitely age longer, it does feel like it is coming together really well right now.

December 7, 2012 - Sec, corsé. Puissant, long en bouche, grande fraîcheur et équilibre. Pas imposant ou ou trop boisé. Tout de même sobre.
