May 8, 2016 - Nice wine as a pop and pour. Developed a little with air time, as the sweet tobacco and big round blackberry-like fruit subdued a bit and brought some graphite and pencil lead forward after about thirty minutes. Still, the tannins are mostly gone, ironic since fruit is still there. We could see more life out of this wine, but I think I'll drink my remaining bottles in 2016. It's declining.

December 26, 2015 - nearly identical to my note on 3/04/2014, except I found this bottle a little thinner. Would please a broad group of palates. Great PnP. Did not improve with air.

April 2, 2015 - This wine has rounded out a lot and deepened with more herbal qualities and forest floor giving more layers to the fruit, which is still there. Also, tannins are rounder but well integrated. A very enjoyable wine

October 24, 2014 - Drinking reasonably well. Likely more than a 2018 wine based on length of tannins although they are a bit linear and might not evolve to the betterment of the wine. My wife thinks the wine is a round CS that most everyone (meaning non-wine drinkers will enjoy like a Silver Oak pre-'08). She thought it was a pop and pour but I thought it needed air to open and round out the linear tannins. Fruit is red forward with black and hints of tar and graphite but just hints. The nose is more full than the body.
