September 5, 2017 - Excellent syrah from WA. From our cellar, stored since release. Deep dark red, very clear, lovely nose, med-heavy body. Good acidity, great balance, smooth, totally integrated and oh, so ready to drink. Lots of dark fruits, spice, licorice, pencil shavings. Really wonderful. Went well with Copper River Salmon and Blue Cheese Salad. Wish I had another.

December 17, 2015 - Very good. None of the medicinal qualities when it was younger. Has some strong Merlot notes but still a quality Syrah. Has a ton of life left.

November 21, 2015 - In two years since I last reviewed this one, the hot ending that I wrote about is now nonexistent. Va Piano has a lock on Syrah.

December 2, 2014 - When the bottle was opened the aroma jumped out of the bottle and hit you in the nose. Even bringing two glasses into the family room the nose is amazingly big. The flavors are wonderfully layered and huge, there is dark fruit, spice, leather, smoke, earth, a little licorice. The finish is long and fits into the "lip-smacking" category.
