Austrinken.

March 29, 2017 - Nose: The nose is demure and wafting with red cherries, strawberries, violets, roasted herbs, tar, and rose petals. There is a distinct feminine quality to this with medium depth.

Taste: Medium bodied with medium+ tannins and medium+ acidity. The structure isn't too prominent right now and is well balanced. The feel is elegant and refined with red cherries, strawberries, roasted herbs, and rose petals.

Overall: This is drinking perfectly right now. A few years could benefit it, but it doesn't feel like there is enough there to kick into another gear. Still, it is a lovely and perfumed Barolo that shows off attractive red fruits.

March 29, 2017 - Brezza Sarmassa and Some Bubbles (Ballaro): Pop n' pour with an ~1 hour slow ox. Shows it's vintage stripes with a riper, roasted and plummier flavor profile. Body is also more lush and rich without the freshness and delineation of the 2008. Solid Barolo but don't see this improving much or achieving the highs of other more classic vintages.

February 22, 2016 - 10 years 'old' and way too young! Everything is Barolo in this wine: nose, colour, tannins. But it has to soften out. Wait 10 more years and it will pay of. No rating at this stage.
