July 8, 2023 - Nose is so green and leafy but in a good way. Slight black cherry and chocolate note; gravel and graphite. Definitely Bordeaux, a bit thin but really cool. Palate is a bit more red fruited, but earthy, more gravel, body getting thin at this point, but tannins are super integrated. For a 38-year old wine it’s really beautiful. Love this but it probably doesn’t have a lot of time left.

July 7, 2023 - Excellent. Decanted for 2 hours. Drank over next 3 hours. Very old world. Earthy. Minerals. Long finish. Love this old world style

December 7, 2021 - Fading, tastes like a large, robust green pepper. Green pepper is extremely strong. That’s almost all there is. ***methoxypyrazines in ascendancy!
*2nd night bell pepper has blown off. Back to normal aged left bank with little green bell pepper. Viscosity and structure good. Little acidic and drinking tertiary.

March 20, 2021 - Super minty/damp soil nose. Quite expressive, although fairly one-dimensional.

Finely textured mouthfeel, tangy, sappy flavor, decent finish. Not dried out, but tannins fairly faded. Drink now.

August 11, 2017 - Last bottle of case. Some black fruit still, subdued but interesting. Earthy - more Pessac than St. Julien.
