  December 10, 2016 - The wine looks violet colored. The legs are medium. There is moderate sediment in the bottle. It smells like prune, plum, forest floor, espresso and oak. The body is medium/full. The wine has round texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has low acidity.

  January 5, 2013 - Medium visual intensity with some sediment. Decanted for 1 hour. Fruit forward with dark berries. Astringent tannins were gritty and somewhat bitter at back of tongue. Okay but nothing here, move along.

  April 27, 2009 - enjoyed with ellen and pat. the back label does not lie. this is an unsung hero that should receive more attention from professional reviewers and consumers alike.
  a pretty intense wine considering its modest price point and age. chocolate indeed. but enough vinosity to remind one of the beverage that is actually in the glass.
  this wine is quite firm and can probably last another year.
