March 14, 2023 - Opened this at Burlamacco Ristorante (East Coast) over a family dinner. We had Pan-Roasted Mozzarella Wrapped in Parma Ham, Baby Rocket Salad with Parmesan cheese, Angel Hair with Crab Meat Cooked in ‘Lobster Bisque,’ Potato Dumpling served with Gorgonzola Cheese Sauce, Beef Sirloin Steak and Oven Baked Lamb Rack.
Bright red in colour. Notes of bell pepper, cedar, berries, nuts and plums. A very good Barolo; good intensity and the flavours coated every inch of the palate. Well balanced and was pleasantly surprised how youthful this wine tastes. Smooth tannins with a long lingering finish.
Wine paired extremely well with the pasta and lamb. At 18 years of age, this wine is shining like a beacon filling the dining room with hope and faith. -
