July 18, 2019 - Ruby-garnet; strawberries, cherry cola, slight barnyard, minerals; stewed cherry, earthy, minerally, savory, light-medium body, good acidity, fine tannins, nice finish
Fading fruit with earthy and minerally backbone. Balanced and drinking well although near end of window. Good.

January 20, 2019 - Still plenty of life in this but I don’t see further improvement from aging for this wine. Palate is a bit savory at this point in its development and ultimately the wine is a bit more interesting than it is good. I believe the winemaking team views cab franc as the red that has the most potential for their sites and this wine probably supports that view. Perfectly fine and enjoyable but not exceptional.

January 28, 2018 - Significant fading. The nose is earthy and dry; showing some oxidized fruit notes, cedar, minerals and a hint of dried flowers. This is medium light bodied on the palate with decent concentration but a lack of finesse. The medium length finish features dry tannins.

August 6, 2014 - Blackberry compote with lush fruit is balanced well with earth, olive, and stone elements. acids say this can go longer, but it was truly wonderful tonight. The long finish maintains notes of walnut, white pepper, and dark chocolate.

November 25, 2011 - Intense aroma of cherry Lifesavers. Light and graceful flavors of cherry on the palate. Nice full finish, though the dreaded cherry cola does make a brief appearance. Old World style and grace with New World flavors that are a little too confected for my taste. Decent value at $17.

Improves with food, but still needs more backbone and less confection.
