  May 20, 2012 - Barnyard on open that burns off quickly. The wine is a bit flat without much complexity. Sour cherry, plums come through. A bit of pepper on the finish is pleasant.

  April 4, 2011 - Plum and floral flavors from the Bordeaux varietals with spicy Sangio bursting through. Very dry tannins finish. Feels very European styled but still some solid fruit.

  October 30, 2010 - Made with 52% Gimelli Vineyard Sangiovese from San Benito, 33% Syrah from Alamo Creek in Paso Robles and 15% Cinsault from Woock Vineyard in Lodi this "Super Tuscan" doesn't follow the usual Italian recipe which calls for Cabernet Sauvignon.
  
  The wine itself shows ruby red colour, with cherry red edges. The nose initially showed candied red berry fruit but, as it developed, it became more savoury showing meaty and spicy aromas. Along with abundant fruit the palate shows smoke, white pepper and wood tannins with fresh acidity on the finish. 13.5%

  August 18, 2010 - Bonny Doon's tasting room (Santa Cruz): (at the winery) This does resemble tuscan wines, with good acidity and tannins, quite good but little thin.

  June 30, 2010 - This wine definitely punched above it's weight. Showed well both the first and second night. Really well balanced. A bit of barnyard. Tannins were just right. This should age well.
