Community Tasting Notes 9

January 5, 2021 - Very pretty nose that evokes age... white pepper and violets with. Pretty but fading fruit scent. A clear rim edge - nice elegant finish

  • Eudemis Likes this wine:

March 14, 2017 - 13% alcohol. Long cork with no wine penetration. Dark colour showing no sign of evolution. The nose is fresh and full of energy, with liquorice and dark berries. The mouth is equally good with superb purity of fruit, excellent grip, refreshing acidity and peppery notes. No perceptible oak influence.
A magnificent northern Rhône Syrah coming into its maturity stage. Certainly a repeat purchase.

May 1, 2012 - Nice fairly simple, earthy, old world styled syrah. Drinking well today.

January 24, 2012 - Not much complexity here and it took quite a while to open up. I tasted black cherries and licorice on the palate. There was some acidity here but the fruit was dominant. I finished this bottle with a cigar and that went well.
