March 2, 2017 - Traditional Rioja (RSJ, London): Just starting to do the orange peel nose. So harmonious and complex. There's richness, a hint of padding, but this is classical in line and form. Hard to imagine how this particular bottle could be improved upon. *****

May 14, 2015 - Cloudy garnet color. Dazzling nose with smoky and flinty aromas, combined with the classic CVNE note of orange peel. The palate is similarly nuanced and multilayered, with the addition of spicy herbal flavors and dusty red fruit. With a bit of tannin remaining, I was surprised to find this lively and well-supported at age 30. Tasted against the 2001 Gran Reserva, this humble Cosecha outshone its noble sibling. Drink now, if you've any around.

July 13, 2009 - Fantastic nose of truffels and, black currant and vanilla. On the palate it was a vibrant wine with lots of life in it - pleasant tannins and ver drinkable rigt now. We finished four bottles of which one was a gran reserva but all were pretty consistent. Bravo.
