February 23, 2015 - Nice dark red. Spice and leather. Paired well with braised lamb shanks. Maybe slightly past its peak.

February 2, 2014 - This wine was signficantly better on the second day. We thought it was an 86 after opening it. It opened up and had nice flavors cassis and a smooth finish.

March 23, 2013 - Had this a year or so ago and could not believe how incredibly sweet it was. Now it's toned down a bit, and developed a bit of elegance. Not bad, color is getting a bit bricky, but still deep purple. Nose of sweet berries and wood, maybe a hint of herb. Palate is still sweet, but more dry, and oak on the nose balances things out with a good kick of smoke and toast. Drink up, now! Not going to get better, but still good. Drinking late at night, unaccompanied with food, might try to track down a venison steak to have with my final bottle, should be lovely.

March 20, 2012 - Jumping jamberries Batman! Baked blackberry with a sharp and dry finish. Fooled me into thinking it was going to have a warm velvety finish. Maybe it needs to open!

January 31, 2012 - Liked this bottle better. Maybe because it aired more before we drank it. Not my favorite Shiraz but it was... Less hot, more fruit, longer smoother finish.
