    February 14, 2021 - 13.5% abv. Recent auction purchase.
Notes seems to be all over the place on this - some call it big and rich, some light and tart. I'm leaning towards the lighter and tart side but somewhere in the middle. In any case, this had more of a strawberry flavor profile and was pretty good, but just didn't hit the right notes for me. Just OK with broiled Salmon, potatoes, with cauliflower. Kind of fell apart on the second evening.

September 8, 2019 - No decant. Wine tasting wonderfully, still very expressive and alive. Easy to drink and enjoyable. Paired surprisingly well with carnitas tacos.
    Color: Soft medium garnet.
Nose: Fragrant right away, blackberry, plum, dried fruits, earthy.
Palate: Fruit present on front palate (mild plum, pomegranate, floral and warm/savory oak notes), but it's the alcohol (13.5%) and med+ acidity that carry the wine. balanced and round on the tongue throughout, with decent depth and layers. very nice med-length finish to match.

November 27, 2014 - Needed some breathing time to take away some of the tartness. Not one to have without food. Good overall taste.

September 3, 2013 - i thought this was drinking excellent ... big, bold and rich PN ... just my style

August 4, 2013 - good solid Sonoma PN. a bit on the thin side for me but the elegance has not faded with a few bottle years. Enjoyable as you'd expect from the wonderful team at DG
