  February 7, 2024 - Vaulorent is the southernmost vineyard of Fourchaume set of vineyards and the only Chablis Premier Cru vineyard located on the same hill formation as the Chablis Grand Crus. La Chablisienne like some others labels this as Vaulorent rather than Fourchaume. The vines are not particularly old here but this is a great Vaulorent and has lasted beautifully. A point now.

  April 28, 2012 - Finesse nose of flowers and secondarily citrus. The palate was unfortunately a disappointment. The great Chablis acidity was simply absent, leading to an unbalanced wine with very short finish. Try one of the other labels of this winery, that are quite excellent.

  January 1, 2012 - A: Mid gold
  N: Mushrooms, sweet cheese, vanilla, nut skin, coconut, JTH has bell pepper in his note. Sweet almond here too.
  P: More bitter nut on palate, kumquat, parrano and marzipan and apricot for JTH. I have almonds roasted in salt. A little smoked gravy. Spice. I could put this on turkey. Alcohol 13% but feels too hot.
  C: vines 30 years old. Fermented in tank and barrel with MLF and aged for 15 months. Bit simple and honestly had better Bourgogne Blanc at this $20 price point. Agh!

  June 15, 2010 - Quite enjoyable Chablis. Really mineral and fresh nose. Enough acidity but I don't adventure a long life on it. Beautiful green and acid fruit. Really good with sushi.

  December 30, 2009 - What a wine! I don't like Chateau Grenouille presented by La Chablisienne, but I like the 2006 Fourchaume Les Vaulorents. Lemon peel and green apple notes with Chablis minery notes, high acid but very comfortable. Much better than William Fevre or Droin Fourchaume.
