March 31, 2024 - As Aril 2024, its surprisingly drinking very well. Deep straw color, with nice acid and dry fruit flavor. Interestingly no kerosene on the nose!

September 27, 2020 - Lime and lemon, with a hint of kero. Youthful still. Bright and fresh, good energy and drive on the palate. Mineral. But also some flesh here. Terrific for its age.

September 25, 2020 - Remarkably light yellow for a 17 year old white. Perfumed floral nose. Very dry, somewhat steely/stony palate profile a bit like a German trocken. Merest hint of kero but way more lime/lemon. Doesn't go naturally on its own, needs grilled fresh sardines to balance it out. Would seem to have an indefinite life.

June 14, 2019 - Lisa's farewell (Nilgiri’s): Mineral, pear, lemon, lanolin, florals and just a touch of kerosene. Palate is refined here. There’s a delicate balance as the flavours combine seamlessly with the acids. The sum is a delicious wine, with wonderful length.

March 19, 2017 - {%} Just phenomenal. Somewhat developed, but only slightly so. White flowers, minerals and spring waters. Mild lime flavours too, but the citrus element is dialled down in favour of a more stony Rheinlike character. Medium-bodied, still with medium/high acidity. It has a real transparency to it too, but it rewards any attention it's given; subtle, long finish, crisply dry. Really beguiling really interesting, with still an age to live in the cellar. I was hugely impressed. Really great wine.

June 21, 2015 - Flavours as per previous bottle. Delicious wine. No problems with screw cap this time.

December 8, 2014 - Lemon and lime on the nose, with white flowers. The palate is balanced with sweet lemon flavours (much like a lemon meringue) a terrific line of acidity leading to a long and savoury mouthwatering finish.
Interestingly, the screw cap on this bottle was seemingly stuck to the glass threads with what might have been leaking wine. There was no indication of ullage. The wine had been ideally stored since release. And no fault detected on tasting.

April 15, 2014 - Well balanced mix of primary citrus flavours, and secondary characters kero and lanolin, with a crisp long finish. Years ahead of it.

February 13, 2014 - Lime, honey, white flowers, pear. On the palate it is still fresh and taut, but gives flavours similar to the nose. In addition, there is orange peel, and lemon. The flavour hangs on for ages.

January 12, 2013 - Riesling Rampage: Passionfruit, spice, lemon and white floral notes. Well structured and balanced, there is plenty of acidity but there is very good depth to the fruit as well. Give it more time and it should be cracking.
