Nose: Blackcurrants, dried tobacco leaf and some chalkiness. Developed more tea leaf and dried tomatoes. Reminded me a little like Chiantis, just a little.
Taste: Quite straightforward, mix of red and black fruits, fine tannins, medium bodied, some meatiness but a little tart for my liking. The tartness softened out and mellowed out as the evening progressed and I like it better at the end.
A decent daily drinker, nothing exciting or special. Drink up now. -

July 2, 2009 - Vanilla, red fruit, tannins, acid, spices. Medium bodied. Better on second day. Overall however uninspiring and not worth second try.
