Community Tasting Notes 2

  • Cote d'Or Likes this wine:

    November 13, 2021 - Tasted over 2 hrs
-med red ruby core mild bricking
    -moderately expressive stony red fruit
-med/med+ acidity, med/med- weight though rather deep and intense tart black cherry earth savory mineral red apple peel, mildly astringent med- tannins and a whisper of oak on the long finish
-excellent and still early on its mature plateau, nicely complex, quite powerful for the vintage, less evolved than vast majority of '04s

August 27, 2011 - True to the vegetal reputation of the vintage, unfortunately. I've had other 2004s and haven't experienced it, but the taste was overwhelming in this wine.
