Community Tasting Notes 4

    October 17, 2020 - Tasted over 3 hrs
-nearly semi-translucent dark red, mild clearing
-moderately aromatic earthy dark red fruit
-med acidity, med weight and concentration earth iron cherry faint spice element emerging, opens up with air, fine grained med tannins
-still a little reserved on the palate but nonetheless in early stages of what should be a long maturity window

    May 29, 2018 - PopnPour, tasted over 2 hrs
    -nearly semi-translucent, minimal bricking
-low-key earth iron faint dark cherry sous bois and very subtle whiff of acetone-like VA
-med/med+ acidity, med weight subtle but not somber iron dark cherry soil, med+ tannins
-old school somewhat closed masculine starting to develop some subtle mature elements but really this needs a lot of air or several more years to open up

    December 13, 2016 - Slow-ox 30 minutes, tasted over 3 hrs and day 3
-ruby with minimal clearing at edge
    -moderately aromatic stony earthy cherry
-med acidity, med weight, still a bit of cherry fruit beneath a predominantly soil/earth element, med/med+ chewy tannins and a gentle kiss of oak on the moderately long finish; more expansive and fleshier with stewed cherry note on day 3
-muscular yet approachable, solid, not flashy, drinking fairly well now but will be better in several years after tannins further resolve and then should continue to age well for a decade, this is hefty by the vintage and producer standards in keeping with its appellation

March 23, 2014 - Un peu trop tannique, très légère verdeur, mais belle allonge. À boire.
