September 18, 2020 - Good aromatics but palate is a bit light and tart. High acid. Drink up.

November 3, 2019 - Dinner with ACYSO. Magnum. Fairly consistent with previous notes - very nice spice/Vosne nose, with red fruits and a hint of potpourri. But the palate didn’t have depth or lots of complexity and was mainly about red fruit.

October 31, 2019 - Dinner at S.K.Y. with The Little Horse and Ms. Bubblehead II (Chicago, IL): From magnum. This is one of those wines where the nose is just stunning and the palate drops off; I almost think it'd be better if the nose were a little less good so it would be more consistent with the palate. There's that classy modern crunchy red fruit thing here, with a beautiful array of brown spice and that earthy lightness. It's actually kind of hard to describe; pretty much, it smells like a Comte Liger-Belair wine. The palate doesn't show signs of the 2006 rot and is in fact quite clean, but given the nose, the slightly rustic tannins on the back end get distracting. As well, the midpalate doesn't seem to fill out, leaving a good amount of acidity, but not much else after. Not one I'd consider aging any more -- if you lose the perfume, you lose the point of this wine.

nose was amazing - cinnamon spice, flowers, candied fruit - very expressive. The palate did not have the depth or complexity of the nose but again showed the house style of gentle red candied fruit.
