May 25, 2010 - Clove, tobacco, and cherry, with some vegetal, vetiver-esque rootiness. Thankfully, the fruit holds up against the earthy and green cab franc characters which can often get out of control in this part of the country. This is going in the right direction for what I look for in a cool climate cab franc, just needs a little more midpalate, I think. Medium-light body and fairly tart. One of the better NY reds I've had.

July 21, 2009 - The best of the Hazlitt wines. Elegant mouthfeel and aroma. Great taste. Reminds me of a blend of Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon. Tons of red fruits, a perfect balance of spice and light vanilla oak.
