  March 25, 2021 - Dark golden peach colour. On the nose, good freshness from this piece of history, with apricot and honeyed notes. On the palate, nice acidity, balance, and length. Missing that next level intensity of great Sauternes, but lovely to start with as an aperitif so everyone can focus on it, rather than have it at the end when no one is in the mood to drink a sweet wine.

  January 7, 2015 - Damn, I love old Sauternes! When they retain their fruit, honey and freshness, there is nothing like it. This wine had it all in spades. Copper and bronze in color, the honey, caramel, molasses, candied orange peel, pineapple and apricot nose already sealed the deal. But the sweet, honeyed, tropical fruit and marmalade finish made it even better. Blind, I would have guessed this was decades younger.
