February 28, 2023 - Aromas poured out of the bottle when I popped the cork! Shiny, clear, medium brick color with a light orange rim. Cherry plum and tobacco aromas. Cherry and plum flavors with slight oak. Soft tannins with a lingering cherry finish. Excellent at 19 years old since the bottle says it should be good for "3 years"!

February 14, 2020 - Purchased because, and drank in honor, of my cousin Barry, the foremost authority on Spanish wine. In fact, he was honored with the Officer's Cross of the Order of Civil Merit from King Juan Carlos. Right out of the bottle it was typical crianza, and taste and stank of fresh oak. Over time, it mellowed quite a bit. I wish it was more juicy, and less terroir. All in all, a great find, fun to drink, write about, and reflect on, while thinking about my cousin. I'm sure we'll discuss this!

March 24, 2019 - Classic aged Rioja: medium red fruit, resolved tannins, mild dill notes, dried orange rind and date-like sweetness leading into a dry finish. Very nice showing from a producer I was previously not familiar with.

March 15, 2019 - Fairly dark red, but was outside grilling quail in the dark. Really nice nose, berry, vanilla, dill and black cherry. Earthy vanilla and berry flavours and a nice dry tannic finish.
