March 23, 2011 - In a word: Disappointing. Very shallow. Tannic. Bitter, unripe berry flavor. Lacks much of any complexity. Nose had similar bitter hints of berry, but also a strong rubbing alcohol smell, maybe some cedar. Would not recommend this wine. Better Chiantis available in the upper teens price range.
