November 19, 2016 - Tasted blind. Definitely Gevrey character but a bitter aftertaste made me go for 2006. Dry tannins as befitting a 2001 Burg, but plenty of black and blue fruit here. Still youngish and can he cellared a few more years.

February 14, 2015 - Hayfork, Malescot, Epoch, Serafin (Al Stewart Concert): Pop and pour. drank some and cam back to it an hour later. This could probably use more air, but drank well. The nose has cherries with a slight amount of earthiness. Some complexity. Nice texture. cherry and slight sour cherry fruit on the palate. Seems to be drinking very well although better when returning an hour later. One of our favorite Burgundy producers for style/price.
