March 31, 2018 - Cabernet Sauvignon 50 %, Petit Verdot 38 % and Merlot 12 %
My last Israel’s wine bottle of 2006. Opened during Passover evening. Full body, deep purple red color still w/o any affect. Intense wild berries aroma complements by leather and cedar wood. Dominant ripe plum and black currants palate, perhaps dewberry notes and lingering juicy finish. Rich, bold and complex but still very fresh, well balanced, lovely berries acidity and firm tannins. Food friendly, probably best match is medium rare meat but also very enjoyable with traditional Passover menu. Serve 18º - 22º. Still needs aeration, open about two/three hours ahead. Drink now and next six years. -
