January 8, 2011 - This is a situation where I wished the palate could have lived up to the nose. Classic Sonoma Coast fruits, with lovely floral note that suggested a luscious and velvety mouthfeel. The palate was quite nice—forest floor mixed with your general cherry and raspberry, but it never seemed to really hit an incredible stride. Something on the palate just felt a little short. Very well-made and balanced, from a great producer. I think with some additional age this could start to show a bit more flair and depth. It won't disappoint now, but doesn't overwhelmingly excite.

September 28, 2010 - I very much enjoyed this bottle. An excellent "daily drinker" that had a wonderful berry flavor with very little in the way of tannins. My only bottle but I would definitely buy again.

February 25, 2010 - The nose had loads of cherry and raspberry, some wet leaves, cola, white pepper, and a touch of vanilla. The palate was smooth, rich, and juicy. It had forest floor mixed with cherry and raspberry. The mid-palate had cola, and it finished with big hit of spice. The acidity was good and the tannins firm.

November 7, 2009 - TWC 2008 Dain Release Party (Tulsa, OK): A huge berry nose, with a slightly off-putting high alcohol nose. Lots of spice intermingled with the brooding fruit. This needs time to soften, about a year. This is going to be a blockbuster. A great debut!
