June 30, 2022 - Excellent bottle, but probably a little past prime. Ghee dominates pear and green apple

April 26, 2022 - This bottle was in nice condition and I suspect was at peak, or thereabouts. Still fairly pale in colour, with nicely balanced acidity and good mouthfeel. Refreshing, and on the mineral side, with some green herbs, rather than at all fat, although there was a little butter on the midpalate after some air. Very enjoyable, but I can't honestly say it was particularly exciting.

September 4, 2019 - This is still stellar. I think pretty much peaking and not going to get better, but this bottle and my last were excellent with fabulous crystalline flavor and very good intensity. Great Chablis

January 10, 2018 - This is classic, pure, and delicious Chablis. I wish I could go back to the days when you could pick a wine like this up for $30!! The nose here is just pure Chablis, green apple, lime zest, sea breeze, iodine, oyster shell, and white floral notes. The palate has a zen-like balance with great depth and intensity through the mid-palate leaving a lingering sensation of taste and a longing for the next sip. Really, really good with crab cakes. Should hold for a few more years, but I think its pretty close to peak drinking right now. Wish I could get Valmur like this for $30-35 now a days...

November 21, 2016 - Ripe apple aromatic start with floral hints. Similar flavors profile, slightly less ripe with a long, oystershelly finish. Very good length and textures.
