Community Tasting Notes 1

June 16, 2010 - Popped/poured. Initially, smoky on the nose with a bit of burnt molasses. This morphs into something more floral with time in the glass. The palate starts out medium-heavy with dark fruits, but lightens up and develops a brightness via acidity with time in the glass. I liked this best immediately on opening, but will check in on the remainder of the bottle tomorrow.

Update - Day 2 - if anything this continued to tighten up overnight, developing a more overt bit of pencil lead (ok) but also a sense of bitterness that joins a fair amount of acidity. To me, this seems out of balance, needing more fruit. 85 points Day 2.
