December 16, 2013 - Garnet with only the faintest brick at the margin. Very fruity, a little earthy, with only the barest hint of raisin. Purchased from the winery earlier this year, so it was cellared perfectly throughout its life (and in my wine fridge here the last few months). Don't let it hang around much longer, but don't be afraid to pair it with food. It held up to a pan-seared pork flank steak and some chanterelles, adding greatly to the sautéing of the mushrooms.

Mostly still applies - just wanted to update on this bottle as I'm on Day 3 of it. Kept in fridge, vacuum pumped.
With the slight oxidation, this wine takes on a definite cherry-flavoured cough syrup note. Nothing too off-putting, though. Still very enjoyable.1 person found this helpful Comment -

It tastes like Red Currant, Black currant (cassis), Forest floor, Mushroom, and Alcohol/Hot. The body is Medium. The wine has Silky texture. The wine finishes Medium.
