perfectly aged bottle with little bubbles. Directly after the Lanson Collection Magnum 1976. It feels older but not much. Waffles, creme brullee and still some lemon notes. 93-94 -

September 12, 2023 - Lacked bubbles, but wonderfully deep kernal - nutty, Indian spices, caramel and mushrooms. A little rancio. A hint of dried fruits. Rich and wonderful with food, although a little over the hill. Dark golden. Very enjoyable but this bottle needed drinking up. I've generally been finding that with 70s/80s BE's in the last few years. 93pts

November 13, 2010 - amazingly fresh for it's age, and quite similar to the 02 served next to it. Maraschino cherries and mint, with an ever so slightly bitter finish. Very good,and absolutely recommended considering the trading price. But not in the absolute elite of prestige champagnes.
