Community Tasting Notes 3

November 28, 2011 - Nice, clear color and berry/strawberry nose. A bit of acid and tartness opening up with air to a medley of red and black fruits, a bit of cranberry and a medium long finish. I'm glad I waited on this one!

Much darker than the Hirsch, but also a much more faint nose. This nose consisted of sweet and tart red fruits and some vanilla. Not a PN nose I'm used to. For the first hour or 2 this was majorly outclassed by the Hirsch. Red cherries that immediately turned into a grapefruit explosion on the palate. After an hour+ though, some complexity started showing itself as other red and dark fruits started showing up on the (before now nonexistent) mid palate and some mineral and earthy elements showed up on the finish
