March 25, 2016 - This bottle was a little over the hill. Gobs of secondary flavors of damp earth, cigar box, and roasted meat, plus the remnants of dense and syrupy black fruit. Unfortunately, the fruit is mostly gone (even if the rich texture isn't).

November 16, 2015 - Just had a small taste, a nice southern Rhone blend, the palate was leaner, and the finish was rather stonier and less fruity than expected.

March 10, 2014 - Deep jammy nose of dark fruits and baking spices. Most everything flavor-wise is buried underneath the weight of the alcohol, unfortunately, though it is flavorful enough. Not a bad wine by any means, and if you enjoy the 2007 Rhone vintage, you will likely love this. I used to prefer this style more, and this a good QPR under/around $20 (presuming you like the style).

8/18/2009 (link)(BOISSON Clos de la Brussiere Massif) 2007 Rhone Dear Friends, With the 2007 Southern Rhone fervor about to reach a crescendo, value examples have become more difficult to find. While I am still undecided as to the grandeur of the vintage in Chateauneuf-du-Pape, there is no doubt that a majority of the "lesser" areas of the South performed well above their pedigree - Cairanne was no exception (Gigondas is another). From a highly thought of (tiny) vineyard next to Fonsalette, this wine will overshadow many examples of the vintage at $50 or more - it also has the chance to age for up to a decade. Tasted side by side, my guess is that you will prefer this to many of the basic CdP bottlings that routinely fetch $35-45. For Bruno Boisson, a man that works with Cotes du Rhone as his oyster, the Clos de la Brussiere is the equivalent of a reserve cuvee...all without the inflated price tag: There is already so much world-wide demand for the best wines of the 2007 vintage that I will leave it at that. ONE SHIPMENT ONLY - we cannot obtain a second shipment: 2007 Domaine Boisson "Clos de la Brussiere" Massif d'Uchaux Thank you, Jon Rimmerman Garagiste Seattle, WA Rhone8765
