August 2, 2010 - Plenty of flavor, but this seemed out of balance even though the acidity was there. The fruit was somewhat unpleasant and not very enjoyable at all.

December 15, 2009 - Modest wine but not a bad drop. A bit green and mean upon opening but looked somewhat better 24 hours later as the zingy red berry fruit filled out and expressed itself a bit better. Certaintly a layer of ripe if sweet fruit. Not sure what it tells me about Monty d'Abruzzo however? Not bad BBQ wine for drinking in a 2 - 3 year window.
