October 25, 2021 - Still needed a few hours of air to blossom.

December 30, 2020 - Very restrained, without big fireworks, but exceeded expectations nonetheless. Savory, with a bit of funky stuff upfront, but the fruit shows up, beautifully, on the finish. Better than a recent bottle of Croix Boisee from the same vintage

July 12, 2020 - The nose was unmistakable manure that is brett, but it blew off with time. Not sure if brett blows off over time though? Nonetheless, palate was fine - not particularly complex but had a good punchy character that brought out some lovely raspberry. None of the Cab Franc greenness. The good thing about Baudry is that prices are friendly enough to try all the cuvées without breaking the bank.

February 5, 2017 - Definitely vastly improved since my last try a couple years ago. Medium red. Dirty, earthy nose. Obvious Cab Franc flavors, but no greenness. Some tannin still and it got firmer as it sat open. Still needs about 4-5 years, which was a surprise. will never be as good as the Grezeaux but was still quite nice.

May 13, 2016 - Open and ready to go. Aromas of sweet black cherry, mint, capsicum, olive, leather and dirt. Dark and spicy yet bright and fresh. Medium bodied with good acid and plenty of fine tannin, a great minerality and a long pure finish. Sure, a Bordeaux would have more body and sweetness, but for this quality it would cost twice as much and this is so fresh and pure. Excellent with a grilled ribeye and roast carrots with lemon, olives and herbs.
