January 14, 2023 - Pretty solid. Started out almost candied cherry. With 30 mins of glass air this mellowed out and the wine became more balanced. I liked how fruit centric this was especially at its age. Good earth elements but not as multi-dimensional as you would expect at this age. Maybe a good thing! Perhaps actually could benefit from more time? Overall quite solid.

June 13, 2021 - Second Sunday Group: 1995 Beaune (Eagle Brook CC): Double blind. Opens with a forest floor/leaf note along with cherry and red berry fruit. Cherry and earthy elements on the palate. Soft tannin and acidity. As the wine breathes in the glass the fruit and floral notes gain strength and it becomes less earthy. A rather pretty wine. 91-92 pts.

    My #1, Domino's #2
    Group #1, 30 pts

May 7, 2021 - Past it's prime. Needed time for the sulphur to blow off. Improved in the glass over an hour or two but it's best days are behind it. Delicate.

December 14, 2015 - Mature but just about holding on. Elegant but still with tannic backbone. Good acidity

March 22, 2012 - Les Grands Jours - lunches and dinners between tastings; 3/18/2012-3/22/2012 (Burgundy): Aromas of mushroom and mature red cherry that follow through on the palate. I was surprised to see this a 1995 Beaune 1er, with its balanced acidity and tannins and charming, accessible overall structure.
