Community Tasting Notes 10

December 24, 2022 - Starting to get orange around the rim. Lots of black fruit, too much oak, a little hot from the alcohol (16.5%!!!!). Not your typical CdP, unless your CdP stands for Chateauneuf-du-Parker. Blind (not for me) guesses by other, very experienced, tasters included; New World, Cabernet Sauvignon, 1990s, 1995. I think this would have been a very accessible wine in its youth, but the oak is starting to dominate the fruit a little. If I had more, I would start to make a point of drinking them. This is probably just past its peak now. Nevertheless a nice, interesting wine to drink.

January 31, 2020 - Still great performance. Big cherry notes, liquor. Fine nice acidity backbone. Great grenache flavours (100%). Think this wine will last another 5 years easily. Not for me, this was my last bottle.....

January 24, 2019 - Full throatle. Huge, thick cherrie notes. Lovely sweet nose. Blockbuster but balanced. Still performing well. Give it some substantial air. Revisit next bottle after 2 years

January 11, 2018 - Not sure how to judge this wine. On the nose I am not sure. TCA influence. A bitt? On the palate blackberries, blueberries. Some Llicorella, jammy Grenache. TCA??? Final conclusion at the end of the evening: delicater then previous bottles, in the beginning a whiff of TCA but at the end a fine wine.
