Community Tasting Notes 4

November 28, 2023 - N. Typical, leather, dark fruits (cooked partly), earthy notes of soil in an old forest, undergrowth, some green notes, pipe tobacco with a lot of dark flavors

    T. A bit on the sweet side as the acid is missing, charcoal, dusty cellar, fermented fruits, rotting flowers

Interesting but not balanced, living dead infants ;)

August 11, 2010 - I had this wine from a half-bottle. The bottle’s filling level was perfect, the cork was in good shape. I decanted the wine for 30 minutes and consumed it over two days. On the nose, the wine offered lots of herbs, eucalyptus, green leaves and a beef jerky component. On the palate, the wine was light, with herbs, and with spices on the back-end. The wine was significantly better on day one than on day two, and seemed to be at its peak.

A nice, food-friendly wine, which was drinking very well at its current stage. The wine offered a good QPR as I acquired the half-bottle only very recently for about EUR 13. Drink now, no extended decanting required. 87+

April 20, 2008 - nothing spectacular. Average bordeaux, still has fruit, but not great compared to price
