May 23, 2019 - Quite sediment-y, so decanted but the wine was fine to go immediately. Bricking significantly, otherwise ruby and clear. Funky nose which suggests it should be past-it, gunpowder and wet farm animal, with undertones of vanilla and cassis. On the palette, though, this is still lively and balanced. Redcurrant, cherry, earthiness, and rasiny age combine well with a light-medium body to make this very pleasant. The finish is medium and peppery, without great complexity. This is clearly an inexpensive but good quality wine with enough bottle age to make it really quite interesting. Happy I took the risk on this one.

Excellent
