Community Tasting Notes 1

August 26, 2009 - Uncorked 3 hrs. in advance, then put a new cork in. Seemed very concentrated and fragile. At the table it had a deep blood/brown color, and the nose was terrifically interesting. Lots of old plum, coffee, old gloves, and a bit of roasted spice. Less interesting in the mouth, but still intriguing. Not really much fuit left (even after mentally digging around) but basically in (ancient) balance, and with good acidity. Held up and actually got better over an hour or so.
