  December 11, 2009 - Priorats / Champagne - A Solo Vino Homework Assignment (Lake Elmo): Close, but not quite. Interesting nose with a brightness to the fruit that backs up against something similar to the sweaty aromas of an aged Bordeaux. Promising! The palate doesn't quite deliver, not having the depth I anticipated from the nose. Still fairly acidic, with an slightly artificial taste through the finish. Fortunately, that blows off after awhile. Still has a lot of tannins. Not convinced the fruit will outlive the acid/tannin combo, but don't have a ton of experience with wines from this area.

  November 4, 2006 - very interesting wine. nose of dark fruits, licorice, wet stone. this tasted more Italian then grenache. fine grained tannins, sharp acid. but all came together beautifully and extended into a refreshing finish. very enjoyable

  June 9, 2006 - Priorat (or Roy at Il Corso!) (il corso): hard to judge, completly unbalanced at this point, too young with acid and alc sticking out, but it has good tannins and good fruit...maybe with time 90+ but for now......
