April 3, 2021 - Not showing it’s age at all. However, nothing special about this wine. Nice fruit and balance but not much of a nose.

August 13, 2020 - Bought at auction. Beautiful. Tannins in balance now. Lovely ruby red. Very slight raisin... I think it’s not for much more cellaring.

June 4, 2020 - Great nose. Still has a bit of youthful vigor but probably not going to get any better. Time to drink up. Short decant helps to open her up. Enjoy.

April 24, 2020 - Oh such a lovely bottle of Merlot, even better than the last. Doubled decanted, let sit for over and hour, than sipped for the next two hours. Uncooked bacon, paprika, and maraschino cherries aromas.

November 18, 2019 - Well aged and integrated, spicy wood on the nose with a little menthol and old leather, with a hint of dark cherry on the finish. Very nice if you like aged wine.

1/27/2009 (link) ***** points(Leonetti Cellars Merlot Columbia Valley) The nose is outrageous and is as compelling as any wine I have had, evolving second by second and swirl by swirl. Initially, floral aromas predominate but as the wine opens up, it becomes a virtual wine wheel with anise, cocoa powder, dried fruit, leather, and blueberry. Late, earth and herbal notes show through along with white pepper. On the taste, dried fruit and beautifully refined tannins stand out on this lip smacking wine. This wine is an easy three or more years from its peak and should drink well for the next ten plus. 82% Merlot; 7% Cabernet; 4% Cab Franc; 4% Carmenere; 3% Sangiovese. 83% Walla Walla Valley Vineyards: Seven Hills, Mill Creek Upland, Pepper Bridge and Leonetti Estate. 17% Columbia Valley Vineyards: Dionysus and Conner-Lee. 2,570 cases produced.
