August 2, 2023 - Decanted 30 minutes and served with burgers with blue cheese followed by cheddar. Very Bordeaux like and at the top league too. Lots of fruit with plenty of secondary and some tertiary aromas: dark fruit, pencil box, vanilla. Lovely on the palate: nice acidity, tannin, weight. Good medium to long finish. Went very well with a strong, mature cheddar cheese. At its peak now I think with another 5+ years left. I can’t believe I bought this from the Wine Society for just £12.95 11 years ago! Would easily beat many Bordeaux at 2-3x that price. It was well worth holding onto.

October 9, 2018 - Tasted at The Wine Society's dinner, speaker Warwick's winemaker Nic Van Aarde. Served to accompany braised lamb shoulder. This was the third of three Trilogy vintages tasted (2015, 2010, 2007). 60% new oak. Fully mature, but still at its peak and a lovely smooth, silky style. Aniseed and menthol, cherry and thyme. Very dry. A great opportunity to taste a fully mature Trilogy.

October 19, 2017 - Still very dark. Earthy nose. Improves much by aeration. Everything at the right place. Fullbodied, intense and complex taste of fruit and spice. Really elegant and with very good length. Great wine on its peak.
Best bottle and unfortunately my last one. Very good QPR und 20 Euros.
Drink now and the coming 3-4 years. -

August 29, 2017 - Ten year old Bordeaux blend from the cape drinking wonderfully now. Intense, earthy, farmyard aromas surprisingly approachable. Improved when decanted.
