Community Tasting Notes 102

March 17, 2021 - Tasted second night after opening. Really delicious - over exceeded expectations. I had a sip first night and wasn’t as good. Seems to be the way for me with this producer. Never a PnP. Still fresh. Don’t know how the 2015 drinking date is valid. No rush but won’t get better.

May 4, 2020 - Had during a virtual town hall happy hour. Not sure I love it but I respect it.

Quite distinct, downright restrained fruits mark this gem. For all of its restrained fruit, both on the nose and in mouth, this wine delivers a trully exceptional experience. Unique notes are the hallmark of flavors on the palette. Immediately tannic and acidic. Fruits at mid palette include long and lingering raisin, blueberry and a bright note like cranberry. Finish is all lingering cranberry and blueberry as the raisin is overwhelmed.

January 11, 2020 - Has really rounded out, icy balanced. No rush but no reason to wait.

November 3, 2018 - Great bouquet, medium dark color, balanced, good fruit with smooth tannins and decent acid, good structure and lots of flavors with aging give good complexity, would drink again but probably won’t find this vintage, drank with magret of duck and clams with chorizo.

August 23, 2017 - Nice second wine of the evening, dark purple, fruit forward dark cherry, nice finish. Acidity and tannins provide still a seemingly long life ahead.
