February 22, 2022 - Who says Zinfandel won't age? This one has the acidity for the long haul. Perfect cork easily removed after 14 years in the bottle. Dark burgundy color with medium clarity. Bramble and blackberry aromas with flavors of cassis and black currant. Consumed over two days. My last bottle of the vintage. I must admit the fruit has faded a little, but still hanging in there.

April 30, 2014 - Nice and certainly drinkable, but also a bit beyond its peak, the 2007 Briar Zinfandel still exhibits a nice fruit which also tells me this wine peaked a year or so ago. Palate is full throttle and shows no signs of heat. A very nice wine which deserves to be tasted sooner than later! (score is 89+)

December 14, 2011 - Drinkable. Definitely not Mazzocco's best. Taste was bland and uninviting. Not a good Zinfandel!

November 1, 2010 - Lots of fruit and very smooth. Enjoyed immensely.

January 24, 2010 - Similar to prior bottle; good balance and spice with modest jammy red fruit, firm tannins and pleasant finish.
