Beautiful nose and stepping into its prime with juicy red and black cherry components delicately framed with light shadings of sweet oak and wild berries that echo into a long finish. Fabulous all on it own or with food. My last bottle but I've laid in some '08s to see what may come...

  September 15, 2008 - Wow! This was really nice. Sparkling fruit at the outset, expected to fade given the age (I am clearing out a bunch of overly aged Pinots), but didn't really. Quite smooth and long too.

  January 9, 2008 - Backstreet - Oregon and Washington (Backstreet Wine Salon, Phoenix, AZ): Medium-bodied. Nice fruit and well balanced. Good complexity, especially after it opened up in the glass. My only knock on the wine would be that it has a hint of a metallic finish.

  January 9, 2008 - Yummmmmm. Cherry, earth, floral, very Burundian in style with nice integrated tannins/oak on a long 30 sec finish.
