May 14, 2019 - G5; 4.5+8*+4.9+8.5+8.9+4.5+4.9=94; Another great Monogram from an Oregon vintage that has long ago expired. They really do seem to be adept at picking barrels that will age well. It is still double the cost it should be. Still great color, but with lighter aromatics mostly comprised of cherry, darker berries and baking spices typical of the vintage. Mouthfeel is voluptuous and silky. Flavor is in-line with the aromas and fruit emphasis along with mouthwatering acidity. Very long finish; good balance that could have used a touch more tannin that was not really present in the vintage. The high alcohol content is mostly integrated at this point and only shows a bit of hotness that I might now confuse with decent acidity. This is drinking exceptionally well right now and has lasted longer than most Oregon '06's.

April 2, 2016 - BYO US Pinot and Chardonnay (Kong Hans): Dense and rich blackberry fruit with a good structure. Actually a very nice wine but the alcohol is really dominating and lacks a little acidity.

January 27, 2013 - This was the youngest bottle we opened for my 50th birthday bash. I had tried it a few years ago while at Domaine Serene and it was too young. However, it has developed into a beautiful wine. A nice melding of fruit, acidity and tannins. We all drank through our allocated pourings and moved onward into the dinner. One of my guests kept some for the end and we found that three hours later, the wine had evolved from nice to amazing. It was simply beautiful! If I had a full glass of that wine to taste, I probably would have went even higher with my rating, it was that good. Thankfully, I have another for a future date, this time with a long, long decant.

May 14, 2012 - This was a damn good pinot. Until you get to the price. It is not $150+ worth of good. Had it had a domaine serene tasting. Had the Yamhill, evenstad, monogram, grand cheval, chardonnay. For the money I would just stick with the Evanstad. The Grand Cheval surprised me though. If you can find a bottle I would give it a try.

April 8, 2011 - DRC vs The World Blind Pinot Noir Tasting (St Regis): Smells like candy floss or nougat. Don't seem to get much red fruit on it, but it has a unique taste of its own which I can't quite identify with. Some greenness on the back palate. Classy yet mysterious.
